The Point Road School Courtyard Creation Workshop was presented by Moss Gilday Group to the students and faculty on November 21, 2008. (Click on Image for High Resolution Plan)
Students were educated on what a courtyard is and where the courtyard is located. We also discussed what the courtyard should not be as well as what is should be.
As explained to the students, we always need to know what a courtyard is and where the courtyard is located. However, and more importantly, in order to design a successful courtyard, we need to know who the courtyard is for.
The new courtyard will be designed as an outdoor classroom and must respond to the needs of the current and future students and faculty.
The images and plans on this site are illustrative and have been provided to establish a framework for fostering new ideas and activities from students, faculty, staff, parents, and the Little Silver Community.
We have provided this webpage to invite constructive ideas and recommendations and hope this site encourages community involvement and good will.
The Design Team will review all suggestions and will consider practical and achievable suggestions in the final design.
